Ketuvia: accessible captions
3 ratings
)Overview
Replaces YouTube's word-by-word auto-captions with customizable phrase-based captions for better readability and accessibility.
A customizable extension made with Deaf people and those with sensory processing differences in mind. Youtube currently displays captions word-by-word, each word showing at the moment it is spoken. This goes directly against accessibility practices, as for captions to be usable they must be composed of sentences that can be scanned at a glance before they are fully uttered, enabling the user to revert their eyes at the video content after reading. This extension solves the issue, and allows further customization of font type, size, opacity, color, number of lines, and more. Please contact me at: https://www.linkedin.com/in/yonatanaviv/
