ANCHOR — TRADING DISCIPLINE ENFORCEMENT FOR TRADINGVIEW The market doesn't care about your rules. Anchor makes sure you do. Anchor is a Chrome extension that enforces your trading rules directly inside TradingView. It watches your session in real time — tracking your P&L, trade count, consecutive losses, and rule triggers — and steps in automatically before a bad trade becomes a bad day. Whether you're protecting a funded challenge, building consistency as a developing trader, or trying to stop giving back profits at the end of strong sessions, Anchor removes the decision to break your own rules. The rules run. You focus on the trade. ──────────────────────────────────────── THE PROBLEM Every trader knows the pattern. You've had two losing trades. You're staring at a setup that doesn't fit your plan, but you want the money back. You take it anyway. It doesn't work. Now you're down more than you should be, trading faster than you should be, and the discipline you started the morning with is gone entirely. This is how real drawdown happens — not in one big catastrophic trade, but in a sequence of small rule breaks, each one justified in the moment. You told yourself you'd stop at two losses. You didn't. You told yourself you'd walk away green. You didn't. Anchor holds that line for you. When your rules say stop, it stops you. ──────────────────────────────────────── HOW IT WORKS Anchor runs quietly in the background as you trade on TradingView. It reads your broker panel — either Tradovate or Paper Trading — and tracks your session in real time. When a rule triggers, it overlays your charts with a fullscreen cooldown screen that holds you out for a set period before you can trade again. You're not locked out forever. Just long enough to reset. For more serious triggers — daily loss limits, daily profit targets — Anchor can hard-lock your session until the next trading day opens at 6 PM ET, or engage Discipline Mode, which keeps your charts open for analysis while blocking live trading. ──────────────────────────────────────── THE ANCHOR BUDDY New in version 2.0, the Anchor Buddy is a small draggable orb that lives on your TradingView screen at all times. It shows your live session status without requiring you to open any popup. At a glance, the Buddy displays: • Your session P&L in real time • Total trade count and win/loss record • Consecutive loss streak • How much of your daily loss budget you've used • A live countdown ring when you're in a cooldown Tap the Buddy to open the full session panel. From there you can manually start a pause if you feel yourself losing discipline, or end your session early if you've hit your goal and want to walk away clean. The Buddy updates instantly as your session changes — no manual refresh, no lag. It also introduces itself on your first session and stays out of your way after that. ──────────────────────────────────────── RULES YOU CAN CONFIGURE LOSS STREAK Pause your session after a set number of consecutive losing trades. The default is two in a row. This is the most effective single guard against tilt — the pattern where a loss leads directly to another because you're trying to recover it immediately. DAILY LOSS LIMIT Set the maximum dollar amount you're willing to lose in a session. When your P&L crosses that line, Anchor ends your trading day. You choose whether that means a hard lock (charts go dark) or discipline mode (charts stay visible, live trading blocked). DAILY PROFIT TARGET Lock in your green days. When you hit your profit goal, Anchor ends the session and holds the gain. This is the rule most traders fail to enforce for themselves — when you're up, it feels like leaving money on the table to stop. Anchor stops you anyway. OVERTRADING DETECTION Set a maximum number of trades within any rolling time window. Fire too many entries too fast and Anchor pauses you automatically. Scalpers can tune this window short; swing traders can widen it or disable it entirely. MAX TRADES PER SESSION Set a hard cap on total trades for the day. When you hit it, your session ends regardless of P&L. For traders who want to enforce quality over quantity, this is the cleanest way to do it. ──────────────────────────────────────── THE COOLDOWN SCREEN When a pause triggers, Anchor covers your charts with a fullscreen overlay. The screen shows which rule fired, a countdown timer, and a depleting ring animation so you can feel the time passing — not just watch a number. You cannot minimize or dismiss the screen during the hold period. When the timer reaches zero, the overlay lifts and you return to your charts. The cooldown is configurable from one minute to two hours. Short enough that it doesn't derail your session. Long enough that it forces a real pause. ──────────────────────────────────────── HARD LOCK vs. DISCIPLINE MODE When a daily limit is hit, you choose how firmly Anchor holds the line. HARD LOCK Charts go dark. The overlay stays up until the next trading session opens. No exceptions, no override. This is the right choice for funded account holders, prop firm traders, or anyone who has crossed their daily loss limit before and knows that a soft lock isn't enough. DISCIPLINE MODE Charts stay open. You can analyze, review your trades, and plan your next session — but you cannot trade live. If Anchor detects a live trade after a Discipline Mode lock, it triggers a mandatory journal entry and re-locks your session immediately. This mode is built for traders who need to stay mentally in the market after their live session ends, without the option to take impulsive trades. ──────────────────────────────────────── PAPER TRADING SUPPORT Anchor reads your Paper Trading broker panel on TradingView in real time. All the same rules apply — loss streak, DLL, DPT, overtrading. You can build the habit of following rules before real capital is on the line. Your paper trading configuration is kept completely separate from your live account rules, so you can set different thresholds for each. Most traders use looser thresholds on paper while they calibrate, then tighten them before going live. ──────────────────────────────────────── TRADOVATE INTEGRATION For Tradovate users, Anchor reads your equity directly from the TradingView broker panel to detect when positions close. No manual entry required — Anchor sees the P&L change the moment a trade closes and evaluates your rules against it automatically. ──────────────────────────────────────── SESSION STATISTICS Anchor tracks your full session in real time: • Realized P&L (updated as trades close) • Total trade count • Win and loss count • Consecutive losses • Daily budget used (as a percentage of your loss limit) • Trades remaining before the session cap All of this is visible in the Buddy panel, the popup, and the cooldown overlay. At the end of each session, your discipline streak is evaluated — consecutive clean days where you followed your rules. ──────────────────────────────────────── SETTINGS AND PRESETS Every rule in Anchor can be toggled independently. You're not locked into a fixed configuration. Three presets to start from: SCALPER — Daily loss limit only, short cooldowns. Low friction for high-frequency traders who trade frequently by design. STRUCTURED — Loss streak plus overtrading plus daily loss limit. The balanced default. Two consecutive losses triggers a 15-minute pause, $500 DLL ends the day. RESET MODE — Maximum friction. One loss triggers a pause. For traders in drawdown who need to slow down completely while they rebuild. You can also build a fully custom configuration: mix and match rules, set your own thresholds, choose your cooldown length. ──────────────────────────────────────── AUTOMATIC DAILY ROLLOVER Anchor tracks trading sessions by trading day, not calendar day. Sessions roll at 5 PM ET — the standard futures close — and reopen at 6 PM ET when the next session begins. A scheduled alarm runs at 5 PM ET every day to: • Reset your session statistics for the new trading day • Clear any active hard locks from the previous session • Evaluate your discipline streak This means even if TradingView is closed all day, Anchor correctly identifies which session you're in when you open it next. ──────────────────────────────────────── PRIVACY AND DATA Anchor does not collect, transmit, or store your trading data on any server. Your session statistics, rules, and account configuration live entirely in your browser's local extension storage on your device. The only external communication Anchor makes is a once-daily license validation check to confirm your subscription is active. No trade data, no P&L figures, no account information of any kind is included in that check or sent anywhere. The extension requires access to TradingView pages in order to read your broker panel and inject the session overlay. It does not connect to your broker account, place trades, or interact with any trading infrastructure.
