Anti-Phishing Gate
Overview
Added layer of manual screening to help you avoid phishing links.
Protect yourself from phishing attacks, malicious redirects, and deceptive links. Gain control of redirects. Anti-Phishing Gate an Opensource Chromium extension that adds an extra layer of security to services which may link/redirect you to untrusted/ unsafe / phishing web-pages. When you're browsing a "Gated domain" website, Anti-Phishing Gate monitors links that attempt to open external websites. Before allowing navigation to an unfamiliar destination, the extension pauses the action and clearly shows you where the link is trying to take you, helping you spot phishing attempts before they can cause harm. Why Use Anti-Phishing Gate? Phishing attacks often disguise malicious websites behind seemingly legitimate links. A single click from your inbox, company portal, or cloud application can lead to a convincing fake login page designed to steal your credentials. Anti-Phishing Gate helps you: ✓ Verify external links before visiting them ✓ Clearly spot look-alike domains with similar character replacements like 0/o, 1/i/I, 7/T etc. ✓ Detect suspicious redirect chains ✓ Prevent silent navigation to phishing websites ✓ Review every new domain before it loads ✓ Build trusted destination lists for websites you use regularly How It Works 1. Add any website to your Gated Domains list with a single click. 2. When browsing a protected site, links that open external websites are intercepted. 3. If the destination has not been previously approved, a confirmation dialog displays: - The destination domain - The complete destination URL 4. A short review period encourages you to verify the destination before continuing. 5. If you choose to proceed, Anti-Phishing Gate continues monitoring the entire navigation process, including redirects. 6. Every new, untrusted domain encountered during navigation must be approved before it can load. Advanced Redirect Protection Many phishing attacks use multiple redirect services to conceal their true destination. A harmless-looking link may pass through several domains before reaching a malicious website. Unlike traditional link scanners, Anti-Phishing Gate monitors the actual navigation path taken by your browser. Every untrusted domain encountered during redirects is paused for review before the page loads. This means: - Hidden redirect destinations cannot silently open. - Redirect services themselves must be approved. - Each domain in a redirect chain is individually verified. - No untrusted destination loads without your approval. Flexible Trust Management Anti-Phishing Gate maintains two simple lists: Protected Sites - Websites where protection is active. Trusted Destinations - Approved websites that can be opened from a specific protected site without additional prompts. Trust relationships are kept separate for each protected website, giving you precise control over where links are allowed to go. Privacy First - No data is sent to external servers. - No browsing history is uploaded. - No URLs are analyzed remotely. - All settings are stored locally in your browser. Your browsing decisions remain entirely under your control. Ideal For - Outlook and Microsoft 365 users - Gmail users - Corporate webmail users - Online banking customers - Remote workers - IT administrators - Security-conscious individuals - Anyone concerned about phishing attacks Stay in control of where links take you and add a powerful safeguard against phishing attacks with Anti-Phishing Gate.
