Anti-Doomscroll for Instagram

Stops Reels from switching on scroll, keys and arrow buttons on Instagram web, and adds a seek bar to videos.

Watch Reels at your own pace — without falling into the doomscroll. On Instagram web, a single turn of the mouse wheel takes you to the next video, and the next, and the next. This extension locks that automatic switching: the video only changes when you actually decide. WHAT IT BLOCKS (on Reels pages) • Regular scrolling: mouse wheel, trackpad, touch and the ↑ ↓ PgUp PgDn keys • Click scrolling: the autoscroll mode that opens when you click the mouse wheel • Side buttons: the next/previous Reel arrows VIDEO CONTROLS • A seek bar on every video to jump forward and back by dragging • Buttons to go back and forward 5 seconds • ← → keys on the bar also jump 5 seconds YOU CHOOSE Click the extension icon to turn each block on or off separately. "Full block" turns them all on at once. Video controls have their own switch. PRIVACY The extension only runs on instagram.com, collects no data and doesn't talk to any server. The only thing it saves is your choices in the menu, stored in Chrome itself. This extension is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Instagram or Meta.
