Overview

Save articles and videos, record your learning, and continue another day.

Another Day helps you keep articles and videos that interest you without turning them into an overwhelming reading list. - Save the current page or update your progress from the extension or context menu. - Use the floating button beside a webpage to save, pick articles or videos, open your list and take notes. Drag it to move it or hide it whenever you like. - Continue regular YouTube videos from their saved time, and supported article pages near your last reading position. - Draw one waiting item based on the time you have. - Search and filter saved items, add notes, mark items complete or return them to the waiting list, and export or clear your data. - Choose a learning topic and track time. Timing continues when you switch tabs or windows, with a reminder when you are inactive. - Capture small ideas in quick notes of up to 200 characters and learning records of up to 2,000 characters. Press Shift+Enter to complete an entry. - Review your notes and records when finishing a session and compose your own summary. Unfinished drafts can be completed later. - Explore weekly, monthly and yearly learning trends and achievements. - Download local backups and preview a merge or replacement before restoring. Recover data from a daily snapshot or three manual snapshot slots. - Optionally connect your own Google Drive for experimental backup and sync. - Use English or Traditional Chinese. Saved playback times are unavailable for YouTube Shorts, during ads, or before a video loads. Article changes may prevent position restoration, and some websites do not support it. How do I show the floating button? On a regular webpage, click Another Day in the Chrome toolbar and turn on “Floating button” below the title. Click the bottom-right button to open actions; press Escape or click outside to collapse it. Use “Reset floating tool position” if you cannot find it. Chrome store and settings pages cannot show it. Steps for saving, resuming, notes and backups: https://anotherday.elliotstudio.top/en/how-to/ Where does your data go? Saved items, reading positions and learning content ↓ Saved on this computer first, without signing in ↓ Only after you choose to connect and enable Google Drive Stored in your own Drive ↳ Backup: saved items and learning data, including achievements, drafts and paused learning sessions ↳ Sync: saved items, reading positions, topics, finished learning sessions and their committed notes/records; standalone notes can also sync Sync does not take over another device's active timer or drafts. Google Drive is experimental. Connections default to backup only; enabling sync requires a separate preview and confirmation. Cloud uses the Google Account signed into your current Chrome profile. Switching accounts on a Google website does not change that binding. Another Day accesses only its own Drive app data, not your other Drive files or Gmail messages. Saved items and notes are not sent to a developer-operated server. Reading positions may include text you select. Nearby text is saved only after you enable that option, up to 180 characters. This content may be included in backups or synced with saved items. Another Day does not save your complete browsing history, sell data, use analytics, or send content to an external AI summary service. What do the store's privacy categories mean? Examples such as names, addresses and passwords are Google's general category examples. They do not mean Another Day collects every example. Another Day handles: Personally identifiable information: your Google email and account ID when connecting Drive, to identify your connected account. It does not ask for your name, home address, age or government ID number. Authentication information: an authorization credential provided by Google to access your own Drive. Another Day does not receive your Google password, and credentials are excluded from backups. Web history: URLs, titles and related times for pages you choose to save, without reading your complete browsing history. User activity: reading positions, learning time and completion records. The floating tool checks for inactivity after you enable it, without saving individual keystrokes. Website content: saved page titles, selected text and position information. Nearby text requires a separate opt-in and is limited to 180 characters. You can pause transfers, disconnect, revoke Google access, or separately confirm cloud deletion. Clearing local data pauses cloud transfers. Disconnecting or uninstalling does not automatically delete existing cloud backups. Local features continue to work offline or after authorization is canceled. Another Day will stay free. If you find this tool helpful, you're welcome to make a voluntary contribution to support the resources I use to develop personal projects. Contributions do not affect access to any feature. The website offers BMAC and PayPal links; payments are handled by the external platform. For a question or suggestion, visit the support page or email me.
