Angel Shot: For a quick escape
Overview
Press Ctrl + Shift + X to switch to a safe site, delete the last hour of browsing. For personal safety and workplace privacy.
Instantly leave any page, hide your tracks, and keep yourself safe. Quick Escape adds a discreet panic‑button and keyboard shortcut that: Replaces the current page with a site of your choice (default: Weather.com). Deletes the past hour of local traces – history entries, cookies, cache, download records, form fills. Operates in place whenever possible, so no one sees a tab close and reopen. Falls back to a new tab + automatic close if the current page blocks injection (e.g., chrome:// pages), ensuring the escape always works. How to use Keyboard shortcut: <kbd>Ctrl + Shift + X</kbd> (or <kbd>⌘ + ⇧ + X</kbd> on macOS). Toolbar icon: Click the lifebuoy when you need to vanish. Designed for real‑world scenarios Domestic‑violence safety – hide support resources instantly if an abuser enters the room. Workplace privacy – swap out personal content before a manager walks by. Shared computers & kiosks – remove sensitive cookies and autofill data in one step. Respectful of your privacy No analytics, no ads, no data collection. All processing happens locally.
