Anda: Watch Together & Watch Party

Watch Netflix and YouTube together. Anda keeps playback in sync, with chat beside the video.

Anda lets friends and couples in different cities watch the same video at the same moment. Everyone plays it from their own account, on their own screen; nothing is streamed, so picture quality stays exactly as it is. • One controller: The host runs play, pause, seek and playback speed. If a viewer changes playback on their own, Anda brings them back to the host's moment. • Continuous sync: Drift is measured and corrected all the time. In testing, viewers typically play within 100 ms of the host. • Easy to join: The host sends an invite link. It opens the right content and puts the viewer in the room. • Side panel: Participants and their sync status, chat with each person's name in their own colour, quick reactions and the film's timeline. Host actions appear in the chat as subtitle notes: [Kaya paused]. • Episodes follow: When the host switches episode or film, viewers switch too. The room survives a page reload. • Compatibility: Live-tested on Netflix and YouTube. Works on most sites that use an HTML5 video player. For YouTube, Vimeo and direct video files there is also a web room at anda.ayberkaya.com that needs no extension. How it works 1. Open a video and create a room. 2. Send the invite link to a friend. 3. Control playback; Anda keeps everyone on the same moment. Privacy: Anda is free, with no account, ads, analytics or tracking. It does not collect video, audio, screenshots, cookies or passwords, and keeps no viewing history. While a room is open, only sync, chat, reaction and room data, plus the address of the video the host opened, go to the relay server, and it is deleted 5 minutes after the last person leaves.
