Anchor: Your daily briefings in one place
Overview
Every new tab shows what matters today: your main goal, to-dos with deadlines, notes and a focus timer. Calm, private, offline.
Anchor replaces your new tab page with one calm screen that keeps you pointed at what matters today. Each day it asks one question: what's your main goal for today? Your answer sits under the clock on every new tab until you tick it off. If yesterday's goal wasn't finished, one click carries it over. What's on the page - Today's main goal, asked once a day - A to-do list with deadlines you can simply type, like “Groceries by Friday” or “Essay due 20 Oct 5pm”. Any task is one click from becoming your main goal - A countdown to your nearest deadlines, in hours, days or weeks, so nothing sneaks up on you - Deadline reminders: a notification when the deadline arrives and another as many minutes before as you choose, with Mark done and Snooze buttons. They come even with no tab open - Full-screen reminders for what you can't miss: switch on ⚡ for a task, and when it's due its title covers your whole screen, whatever tab you're on, with Done and Snooze - Notes: as many as you like, titled by their first line, saved as you type - A daily journal: one question in the evening or the next morning, “How was your day?” or your own. Every answer is kept by date, with search and Markdown export - Daily flashcards, Anki style: one card per new tab, answered Again, Hard, Good or Easy, so cards come back right before you'd forget them - Flashcards from any web page: select text, right-click → Add to flashcards (or press Alt+Shift+F), write the answer, done - Documents: your quick-access PDFs, Word and Excel files, slides and images, one click away. Drag them into a chat or an email, or copy an image straight to the clipboard - Brainrot mode: one click pauses Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and the other feeds you choose. They open a calm page with your goal and a quick game instead: Sudoku, chess against the computer, or quick maths - A pet, if you'd like one: a cat, golden retriever, monkey, rabbit, lion or turtle that strolls along the bottom of the page, naps while you focus, calls you when a deadline is close or today's goal is missing, asks for a snack now and then, and cheers when you finish things - A Pomodoro focus timer. While it runs, everything except the timer and your goal fades away, and you get a notification when it ends, even with every tab closed - Focused today: a running total of your focus time - Five mountain wallpapers, or your own images, changing every tab, hourly, daily or only when you choose Built for low friction No sign-up and nothing to configure. Panels stay the way you left them. Keyboard shortcuts: G goal, T to-do, N notes, F focus, W wallpaper, C flashcards, D documents, J journal. Private by design Everything stays in your browser. Anchor makes no network requests and has no account, analytics or ads. Every week it saves a backup of everything to your own computer (Downloads › Anchor backups, or a folder you choose).
