Some days the web is loud. Anchor turns down the ads, clutter and interruptions on sites you already use to help you reclaim your attention and be more intentional with your time. Completely customizable, every option has its own switch, and one Pause switch turns it all off. ASK ME FIRST • On LinkedIn, Gmail and streaming sites, a calm card asks if this visit is a good use of your time and why you came. Yes and a short note lets you in; No closes the tab. Once per tab, then hourly. PINTEREST • Hides ads, shopping pins, AI-labelled pins and suggestion rows • Limits how much one click or save changes your home feed, from "Only my boards" to Pinterest's normal • Muted words for topics you would rather not see • Optional: no captions, fewer buttons, no like counts, still videos, pins per row • A simpler profile: cover photo as a banner, stats hidden LINKEDIN • Puts the home feed away for a small card with Jobs, Messages and your profile • Hides people suggestions, news, puzzles, promoted cards and Premium upsells • Job listings without applicant counts • Fewer red counts, no messaging bubble or online dots GMAIL AND GOOGLE SEARCH • Sponsored emails in Promotions and Social are hidden, never deleted • Sponsored Google Search results are hidden STREAMING • Video ads: presses Skip if there is one, otherwise mutes and fast-forwards or jumps past the break, then restores your sound and speed • A calm dark screen while an ad passes, with an optional fun fact • Presses Skip Intro and Skip Recap and answers "Are you still watching?" • Optional Next Episode, and Option+P (Alt+P) to keep watching in a small window Results vary by site and may change with site updates. The popup shows what was hidden and skipped today. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account, analytics, servers or remote code; the developer receives nothing. Switches live in Chrome's storage (and follow you through Chrome sync if you use it); counts, ad-break logs and your Ask me first notes stay on this computer. Anchor blocks no network requests. On Pinterest it filters the pin lists the page receives and asks Pinterest itself for more of your feed and its AI labels.
