Analytics Auditor is a Chrome DevTools companion for developer QA and debugging of digital analytics implementations in real time. It helps inspect analytics requests, validate parameters, review DataLayer state, and run multi-page audits from a single interface. Key features Unified traffic view Automatically groups hits by tool and shows live counters, plus a traffic-light status badge (red/orange/green) to quickly identify implementation issues. Enable or disable tools in Settings. DataLayer and Tag Manager inspection Captures the initial DataLayer snapshot as JSON, provides a syntax-highlighted viewer, and tracks event history. You can configure expected events and get warnings when they are missing. In the Live panel, each monitored event is its own hit; the JSON tree starts with the event field. The toolbar popup shows the initial snapshot only. Multi-page Audit From the DevTools Audit view, crawl internal links (or audit a single URL), open pages in the background, and validate DataLayer structure, semantic rules, URL parameters, URL structure, and measurement metas. Results show errors, warnings, and passes, grouped by page type, with CSV/JSON export. Custom request search In Settings → Audit, add URL fragments (for example spl.zeotap.com). Each audited page is checked for matching network requests (scripts, pixels, XHR, beacons). Missing patterns are reported as errors; matches as passes, with a found/total summary. Audit traffic tagging Optionally tag Audit visits with UTM parameters so synthetic QA traffic can be classified or excluded in analytics. URL validation still uses the clean page URL. Filtering and focus tools Filter logs by account IDs, selected tools, or free-text search to isolate relevant data faster. Detailed payload analysis Open any hit to view merged URL parameters and payload. A sticky header shows the selected event name and a full-hit JSON download. Parameters are grouped (with column headers under each group) by category (Identification, Navigation, Content, Privacy, etc.) and support complex payloads and ecommerce arrays. Export options Export live sessions to CSV and specific snapshots or groups to JSON for documentation, QA reports, or tickets. Multi-page Audit exports CSV/JSON reports as well. Per-tab isolation and session control Sessions are isolated per tab. Use Preserve log to keep history across navigations. Developer-friendly UI Settings are grouped into Capture, Display, Audit, and Help. Includes dark mode, adjustable font size, Settings → Help (Live vs Audit, status colours, scope), and a compact layout integrated with DevTools. Privacy and security Auditor works locally in the browser and inspects only the pages the developer is debugging or auditing. It does not inject remote code, does not send collected data to third-party servers, and does not modify page business logic.
