Designed especially for master’s and PhD students, Analu helps you understand complex texts, extract key ideas, and connect them to your own research – directly on top of articles, PDFs in the browser, reports, blogs, institutional documents, and more. How it works Highlight any text on the web Select a paragraph, abstract, excerpt or definition on any webpage. Click the Analu Companion bubble A floating Analu icon appears next to your selection. Click it to open the Analu panel. Get instant academic help Analu reads the selected passage and responds with explanations, summaries, and suggestions tailored to your topic. You can ask questions like: “How could I include these ideas in my dissertation about AI in Education?” Continue the journey in deeper tools (optional) When it makes sense, Analu can suggest links to open the selected passage in academicum.ai tools such as Article Reviewer, Biblio Format or Intelligent Tutor – so you can continue working on that text with more depth. The extension keeps Analu “by your side” as you browse, so you can transform raw reading into insights, notes, and draft material for your dissertation or thesis. Bilingual interface (PT/EN) The extension interface adapts automatically to your browser language: In Portuguese (pt), Analu speaks and guides you in PT-BR. In English and other languages, Analu uses English by default. This makes Analu Companion useful both for local literature and for international papers, especially in fields where English is dominant. Works together with academicum.ai Analu Companion is part of the academicum.ai ecosystem – a learning and writing environment focused on university students and researchers. You can use the Companion on its own to: highlight text, ask questions, receive explanations and suggestions right on the page. If you already use academicum.ai, you can optionally follow the links that Analu suggests to continue your work inside tools like Article Reviewer, Biblio Format or Intelligent Tutor. The extension doesn’t force you to switch context – it simply opens doors when you want to go deeper. Privacy and data Analu Companion focuses on your study flow, not on tracking you. The extension uses local storage only for a simple session identifier (to keep continuity of the conversation). Text you send to Analu (including selected passages) is transmitted securely to the academicum.ai backend to generate the answers you see.
