Overview

Keeps Twitch from lowering stream quality when the tab is hidden or in Picture-in-Picture.

Amnis – Twitch PiP Quality Keeper Tired of Twitch automatically dropping your stream to low quality the moment you switch tabs or pop the video into Picture-in-Picture? Amnis fixes that. Twitch detects when its tab is hidden and intentionally reduces stream quality to save bandwidth — often dropping to 160p or lower. This is frustrating when you're multitasking or using PiP and expect to keep watching at source quality. What Amnis does: Prevents Twitch from detecting tab visibility changes, keeping the stream quality locked at your preferred level Automatically sets your Twitch quality preference to Source (best available quality) Resumes playback seamlessly when switching back to the tab Shows a green "ON" badge on the toolbar icon when active, so you always know it's working Works on: twitch.tv m.twitch.tv (mobile site) player.twitch.tv (embedded player) Privacy-first: Amnis runs entirely in your browser with no data collection, no tracking, and no external network requests. The only permission required is tabs, used solely to update the toolbar badge. Amnis is free, open source, and does one thing well.
