Overview

Translate speech on any web page into Rwandan (RSL), American (ASL), British (BSL) or French sign language.

Signa AI brings sign language to the entire web. Turn on the extension, choose your languages, and a signing avatar appears right on the page translating what's being said into sign language in real time. Drag it anywhere you like. Built Kinyarwanda-first, Signa is made for Rwanda and the wider Deaf community, with support for more of the world's sign languages. WHAT IT DOES • Translates speech on any web page into a signing avatar, live on the page • Works on the sites you already use YouTube, Google Meet, Zoom and Netflix read the captions directly • On any other site with a video, Signa captures the video's own audio, so movies and streaming just work • Microphone mode signs live, in-person speech great for conversations, classes and meetings • Select any text on a page and press "Sign" to have just that passage signed • The video pauses briefly while the avatar signs, so nothing is missed, then continues on its own LANGUAGES Spoken input: Kinyarwanda, English, French Signed output: Rwandan Sign Language (RSL), American Sign Language (ASL), British Sign Language (BSL), French Sign Language WHY SIGNA Most of the web is built for people who hear. Captions help, but reading text is not the same as seeing your language. Signa puts a signer on the page wherever there's speech so Deaf and hard-of-hearing users can follow along in sign language, on their own terms. Kinyarwanda speech recognition is at the heart of Signa: a first-class experience for a language most tools ignore. HOW TO USE 1. Pin Signa to your toolbar 2. Open a page with speech a video, a meeting, an article 3. Open Signa and pick your spoken and signed languages 4. Press "Translate this tab" the avatar appears and starts signing Signa is free to try. Learn more at usesigna.org.
