Overview

Pop any web video into a floating Picture-in-Picture window with real controls.

Pop Video lets you pop any web video out of its page into a floating Picture-in-Picture window that stays on top of everything else. Whether you're watching a YouTube tutorial, a Netflix show, a live stream on Twitch, or a match on Hotstar — Pop Video gives you a separate, always-on-top window with full playback controls. KEY FEATURES Always-On Floating Window Once popped out, the video lives in its own independent browser window that stays visible on top of other applications. You can drag it anywhere on your screen, resize it to any dimensions, and use it on a second monitor. Built-In Playback Controls The floating window comes with its own control bar: play/pause, skip forward/backward, volume slider with mute toggle, playback speed selector (0.25x to 2x), progress bar, subtitle toggle, sleep timer, fullscreen button, and a pop-back button. Keyboard Shortcut Press Alt+P anytime to pop the current video out or pop it back. Works from any tab — as long as there is a video on the page, Alt+P handles it. Hover Button Move your mouse over any video and a small pop-out button fades in. Click it and the video immediately pops out. No need to hunt for the extension icon. Right-Click Context Menu Right-click on any video and select "Pop Video — pop out this video" for quick access. Per-Site Settings Memory Pop Video remembers your preferences for each website. Netflix at one size and speed, YouTube at another — it saves and restores those settings automatically. Subtitle Size Control Scale subtitles up or down with a simple multiplier (0.5x to 3x) relative to the site's default size. Sleep Timer Set a duration from 1 to 480 minutes. When the timer runs out, the video automatically pauses. Keep Screen Awake Hold a Wake Lock on your device while a popped-out video is playing, so the screen does not dim or turn off. Title Bar See the page title and favicon at the top of the floating window so you always know what you are watching. Theme Support Choose between Match system, Light, or Dark theme. Auto-Pop on Background Automatically pop out the video when you switch to a different tab, and pop it back when you return. Settings Backup Export all your settings as a JSON file and import them on another device or after reinstalling. Statistics Display Press "I" to toggle a real-time overlay showing resolution, frame rate, dropped frames, and buffer health. HOW TO USE Popping Out a Video: 1. Navigate to any page with a video 2.
