ChatVeil blurs your chat list and conversations the moment WhatsApp Web loads, so a colleague glancing at your monitor, a client on a screen share or a classroom projector sees only soft shapes. When you want to read something, point at it: the chat or message under your cursor becomes sharp, and blurs again when you move away. WHAT YOU CAN BLUR Each item has its own switch, so you decide how much stays hidden: - Chat names (chat list and conversation header) - Last-message previews - Messages in the open conversation - Photos, videos and stickers - Profile pictures - The text you are typing HOW IT WORKS - Hover to reveal: only the chat or message you point at becomes readable. Turn this off to keep everything hidden until you switch the blur off. - One-key toggle: press Alt+Shift+V (changeable in Chrome's shortcut settings) to turn the blur on or off from any tab. - Adjustable strength: from a light haze to fully unreadable. - Live preview: the settings page shows a sample chat so you can try every option before opening WhatsApp. - Built to last: ChatVeil targets WhatsApp Web's stable page landmarks instead of its frequently changing style names, and anything it cannot classify yet stays blurred rather than exposed. PRIVATE BY DESIGN - Everything is free. No premium tier, no ads, no account. - Runs only on web.whatsapp.com. It has no access to any other site. - Does not read, store or transmit your messages. It only changes how the page is drawn on your screen. - No analytics or tracking. Your settings are stored locally in your browser.
