Classic English/American checkers offline. 8×8 board, men capture forward, short kings.

American Checkers is English draughts against the computer, in Chrome. Open it from the toolbar and play on an 8x8 board. No account, no sign-in, and no internet needed for the game itself. You play one side. The computer plays the other. There are 100 levels. A win raises the level by one for the next game, up to level 100. A loss or a draw leaves the level where it is. You can also set the level, your color (white, black, or random), and the board theme in settings. Rules follow American / English checkers: men move and capture forward on the diagonals, kings are short (one square, not flying), and a capture must be taken when one is available. You do not have to choose the longest capture when more than one piece can jump. A man that reaches the last rank becomes a king; if that happens in the middle of a capture, the turn ends. Open the game as a small popup or as a Chrome side panel. The choice applies the next time you click the extension icon. The current game is kept on your device so you can close the window and continue later. Privacy: settings and the game stay in Chrome local storage on your device. The extension does not send that data to a server, does not use analytics, and does not require an account.
