Peel is a precise screenshot tool for Chrome. Whether you need a quick snapshot of the visible page, a full scrolling page, or a single element with its background removed, Peel gives you the control to capture exactly what you want, then frame it into something worth sharing. Four capture modes: - Viewport: instant screenshot of what's currently visible - Full Page: scrolls and stitches the whole page into one image, both down and across for pages that scroll sideways. Long captures can be stopped early, keeping what they got. - Region: drag to select any rectangular area of the page - Element: hover to highlight, click to select, then use the slider to move up to a parent or down into a child and capture exactly the right element. Elements taller than the screen are scrolled and stitched automatically, including ones pinned in place. Other key features: - Beautify: frame any capture on a gradient or solid background with padding, rounded corners, and a drop shadow, plus optional aspect-ratio framing for social. One click, fully adjustable. - Transparent background: Element captures use a two-pass technique to extract true alpha transparency. No background, no clipping, no manual editing. The result is a clean PNG ready to drop into any design tool. - Hide parts: after picking an element, click any pieces you don't want, like a stray button or label, and they're left out of the capture. - Trim transparent pixels: automatically crops transparent padding from the captured element so you get a tight, clean result every time. - PNG, JPEG, WebP, or PDF: pick your format and quality. PNG stays lossless so transparency is preserved. PDF saves a single page sized to your capture, or splits a long one across A4 or Letter pages with an optional URL and date stamp. - Copy or download: copy straight to your clipboard or save to disk, with zoom and pan in the preview. - Keyboard shortcuts: trigger any capture mode with Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+1 through 4. - Retina and wide gamut: captures are sharp on any display, and Display P3 screens keep the richer colors you actually see. Save at full resolution, or scale down to standard for smaller files. - Dark mode: the popup follows your system theme automatically; the preview and options let you choose system, light, or dark. - Make it yours: set your default format, capture action, countdown timer, and filename pattern in settings. All captures stay local. Nothing leaves your browser, and Peel asks for no access to your websites: Chrome grants it a single tab only at the moment you invoke it, and takes that access away as soon as the tab navigates.
