Text Analysis reads the text on a page and profiles the writing against seven dichotomies — Direct or Indirect, Specific or General, Future/Past or Present, Interactive or Speculative, Simple or Complex, Process or Results, Flexible or Rigid — plus three data-type axes and a derived view of seven approaches. Click the toolbar icon on any page to capture its text, or select a passage first to capture only that. Capture a second page to compare two writers side by side; the panel lists the axes in order of how far apart they are. Everything runs locally. The 14,482-entry word list is bundled inside the extension and no network request is ever made. WHAT IT DOES Reads the current page, or your selection Scores seven dichotomies and eight data types Draws a profile diagram showing the three strongest leanings Compares two texts and ranks the differences Shows the words and phrases driving each reading NOTES Works best on 500 words or more. Below that, treat a reading as a hint. Google Docs and Office Online draw text on a canvas, so no extension can read them directly — use the built-in paste box for those. PRIVACY No servers, no analytics, no accounts, no host permissions. The extension cannot reach any site other than the page you are on when you click the icon, and it makes no network requests at all.
