Detect and strip PII before pasting into ChatGPT, Claude, and other LLMs. AmbientMeta Privacy Guard detects and strips personal information from text before it reaches AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini. When you type or paste text into an AI chatbot, sensitive data — names, emails, phone numbers, SSNs, credit card numbers, and more — is transmitted to third-party servers. Privacy Guard intercepts that text, highlights detected PII inline, and replaces it with privacy-safe placeholders in one click. HOW IT WORKS 1. Type or paste text into any supported AI assistant 2. Detected PII is highlighted directly in the input field 3. Review detections in the popup — each entity shows the detected text and type 4. Click "Sanitize" — placeholders replace the sensitive data 5. Your original text is held in an encrypted session cache for up to 24 hours, then permanently deleted CORRECT DETECTIONS INLINE Select any text in the chat input to correct what the detector missed or got wrong: - Missed PII — Select the text, pick the entity type from the floating picker, and it's immediately highlighted and tracked - Wrong boundary — If the detector grabbed too much or too little text, select the correct span and choose the type. The old detection is replaced and both corrections are submitted automatically - Wrong type — Click "Report" on any entity in the popup to reclassify it (e.g. a name flagged as a location) - False positive — Mark non-PII text that was incorrectly flagged and it's removed from highlighting - Hover to locate — Hover any entity in the popup to see exactly where it appears on the page All corrections are submitted as feedback to improve detection accuracy for your account over time. WHAT IT DETECTS - Names, emails, phone numbers - Social Security Numbers - Credit card numbers - Medical record numbers (MRN) and provider IDs (NPI) - Physical addresses and dates of birth PRIVACY Text is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS to AmbientMeta's processing servers for PII detection only.
