Ambient Niche Radar

Research long ambient, sleep and rain video niches on YouTube: views per day badges, length filter and an open-niche finder.

Ambient Niche Radar helps creators and researchers study the long-form ambient video niche on YouTube: rain sounds, sleep music, study ambience, fireplace and nature loops. What it does - Adds an estimated "views per day" badge and the video length to every video on YouTube search results. - Adds a small panel on search results with the number of long (1h+) videos on the page, plus their median and best views per day. - Lets you show only videos longer than 1, 3 or 8 hours, so you can see what long-form competition looks like. - Open Niche Finder: press one button and the extension runs about 24 YouTube searches (US, English, videos over 20 minutes) and draws them on a map (demand vs. competition, bubble size = new winners) and ranks niches such as rain, fireplace, deep sleep or lofi, with an 'Open ground' zone to look at first. You can also test your own idea. How to use 1. Search YouTube for something like "10 hour rain sounds". 2. Read the badges and the panel in the corner. 3. Use the length selector (panel or toolbar popup) to hide shorter videos. Privacy Everything runs inside your browser. The badges only read the view count, upload time and duration already shown on the page. The Niche Finder requests YouTube search pages only when you press its button, and nothing is sent to any other server. No analytics. Settings and the last scan result are stored only in your own browser. Notes Views per day is an estimate (views divided by days since upload, minimum one day). It is not official YouTube data. Niche map screenshots use sample data. This extension is not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube or Google. Works with YouTube in many interface languages (English, Turkish, German, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Italian, Swedish, Dutch, Russian). The extension panel itself is in English. Made by Nebado Labs, the developer of RenderCore, a Windows app for turning short clips into hours-long videos. A free trial link is included in the popup. The extension works fully without it.
