Ambient New Tab – Live Wallpaper for Chrome

Live wallpaper for your new tab: scenes that follow your mouse and move to your music. 3 free themes, Pro unlocks 50+.

Ambient New Tab turns the blank page you see hundreds of times a day into live wallpaper: a scene rendered on your graphics card, moving with your mouse and, if you like, dancing to whatever music is playing in another tab. Nothing is a video. Every theme is generated live, so it never loops and never looks the same twice. FREE, FOREVER Three themes are free with no time limit: a star field that drifts, links, and bends around your cursor; liquid marble you stir with the mouse; and a neon grid rolling toward a low sun. PRO UNLOCKS EVERYTHING Pro is a subscription: $5.99 a month or $39.99 a year, and you can cancel anytime. Every new theme is included as it is released. Pro has more than fifty scenes, and they are very different from each other: a pixel rocket that rides the live Bitcoin price chart, a black hole ray-traced in real time, an impressionist garden pond painted from twenty thousand brushstrokes, and a typewriter by an open window that types a new letter to you, line by line. Some are little worlds made of blocks, like a busy office, a school cafeteria at lunch and a streamer's room with a scrolling chat. Some are games you can play right on the page, from a bubble shooter to a brick breaker. Others are built from physics and math, and more are added regularly. Pro also includes music sync: click once on the tab that's playing, and every scene reacts to the bass, the beat and the treble. DESKTOP WALLPAPERS (WINDOWS) Pro now also includes 26 desktop live wallpapers for Windows, from the black hole and the Monet pond to a Scottish loch, a lightning storm and the typewriter love letters. They run in the free Lively Wallpaper app or in Wallpaper Engine. Open the Themes panel and click Desktop wallpapers to get them. Hover any Pro theme in the Themes panel to try it full-screen before you subscribe. ALSO ON THE PAGE A clock and date, a search box that uses whatever search engine you already chose in Chrome, and day and night that follow your own sunrise and sunset, wherever you are (or force either). PRIVACY, PLAINLY No accounts. No tracking. No analytics. Your browsing and searches never pass through us. Music sync analyses audio on your own computer and never records or sends it. The only network request any theme makes is the Bitcoin theme fetching public prices from Coinbase, and only after you allow it. Full policy: https://ambientnewtab.com/privacy Runs on your GPU with WebGL, pauses when the tab is hidden, and slows itself down on battery. Made in Brooklyn. Questions: hello@ambientnewtab.com
