Amazon Shopping Extension
Overview
Compare two products on Amazon in a shopping task.
The "Amazon Shopping Extension" is a companion extension for an invited shopping task on Amazon.co.uk. Participants complete screening, give informed consent, connect the extension and complete comprehension checks before starting a 10 minute shopping session. During that session, the extension records Amazon.co.uk page types, product identifiers, foreground time, scrolling, specification/review engagement and order-confirmation evidence. Recording stops when purchase confirmation is detected, the participant withdraws, or the observation window expires. There is no collection before activation or outside Amazon.co.uk, no browsing-history or cookie access, and no collection of payment fields or delivery addresses. The extension does not block Amazon content or other websites. An invitation is needed for research participation. It would not work without this invitation.
