Overview

Estimate Kindle sales from BSR as a range right on the book page, and work out KDP royalties for e-books, paperbacks and hardcovers.

Amazon Book Sales Calculator gives a rough idea of how many copies a Kindle title sells, right on its product page. A short line under the star rating reads the sales rank (BSR) and turns it into a daily range, with 30-day numbers one click away. 🧭 How it works 1. Open an e-book in the US Kindle Store. 2. The estimate appears in a short line under the rating. 3. Click Details for the full breakdown. 4. Click the toolbar icon to enter numbers by hand. 📊 What you see ▸ The BSR and the format ▸ Copies sold per day and per 30 days ▸ The royalty per copy for self-published titles ▸ A note when it is in Kindle Unlimited Every daily or 30-day figure is a range, not a promise. The curve behind it is rough and fitted to the US paid digital list. Between ranks 1,000 and 100,000 the range runs from half to twice the curve value; outside that band it is wider, and the top 100 show no number at all. 🧮 Manual calculator Type a rank you noted earlier, pick a format and add a price. For digital editions choose the 35% or 70% rate; the 70% option asks for the file size and subtracts the delivery fee. For paperbacks and hardcovers it follows the current KDP rates: 50% below $9.99 and 60% from $9.99, minus the printing cost you enter. 📚 Formats - Digital editions: copies sold and royalties - Paperback and hardcover: royalties only, from your printing cost - Audiobooks: not supported There is no estimate for print, because public data for it is too thin for a fair curve. For subscription titles, borrows move the rank as well as purchases, so the figure is labelled Sales + borrows and the 30-day royalty is not shown. 👥 Who it helps • Authors checking a niche before writing • Self-publishers choosing a price for a new release • Marketers following how a launch goes 🔒 Privacy ✅ It reads only the page you open, to show the estimate ✅ Page data never leaves your browser ✅ No account, no sign-in, no tracking ✅ No viewing history; your inputs sync with your Chrome profile ❓ FAQ How do I start? Add the extension to Chrome and open a book page there; the line appears under the rating. Does it cost anything? There is no payment, no account and no usage limit. How accurate is it? Amazon Book Sales Calculator gives a rough range, not an exact count. The BSR is a recent snapshot, so use it to compare titles, not to forecast income. Which stores does it support? Only the US store, with prices in US dollars, for now. Where do I report a problem? Use Report a problem in the toolbar calculator or in the panel that opens from the line. Try it on the next niche you research, and if it helps, please rate it in the store.
