Always Ask Gemini automates two clicks so you don't have to make them yourself: on any YouTube video with the "Ask" feature available, it opens the Ask Gemini panel and clicks "Summarize the video" — as soon as both become available, once per video. HOW IT WORKS On every YouTube video you watch, the extension looks for YouTube's own "Ask" button (next to Share and Download). If it's there, it clicks it, waits for the panel to open, then clicks "Summarize the video" inside that panel. That's it — no new UI, no extra windows, just the two clicks you'd otherwise make yourself. - Runs automatically on every video, including videos you were already watching before turning the extension on. - Never fights you: if you close the panel yourself, it won't reopen it for that video. - Never steals your keyboard focus off the video player. - If a video doesn't have the Ask feature (it's a limited rollout from Google), the extension quietly does nothing — no errors, no retries. TURNING IT ON OR OFF Click the toolbar icon to open the popup and flip the single switch. The toolbar badge always shows the current state (ON / OFF). Your setting is stored in Chrome's built-in sync storage, so it follows you across Chrome installs signed into the same Google account. PRIVACY This extension collects nothing. It has no server, no analytics, and stores exactly one value locally (your on/off preference) — nothing about you, your videos, or your account ever leaves your browser. The extension can't make the feature appear where Google hasn't enabled it — it just automates the two clicks when it's already there.
