When you deliberately open the extension on a supported shipment workflow, it can extract shipment-relevant details for your review, request a live Alvargo quote, create a shipment when your organization permits it, and surface tenant-scoped delivery tracking and status information. The extension is designed to reduce the operational friction between DEMAND & DELIVERY CAPACITY. Instead of manually moving shipment information between e-commerce platforms, ERP systems, order portals, and logistics tools, authorized users can connect those workflows to Alvargo’s logistics orchestration layer. YOU REMAIN IN CONTROL: The extension never creates a shipment from page content alone. Your team reviews extracted information before any quote or booking request is submitted. Alvargo administrator controls can restrict users to quoting, require dispatcher or organizational approval before booking, apply usage limits, require device approval, revoke an individual browser installation, or disable the extension globally. BUILT FOR ENTERPRISE LOGISTICS WORKFLOWS: A standard shipper API key is used once to pair an approved browser installation and is not retained by the extension. Chrome maintains a separate, expiring installation credential locally. Each request is authenticated, tenant-scoped, validated, rate-limited, and recorded in the Alvargo audit trail. Supported workflows include approved Shopify and NetSuite pages, as well as Alvargo delivery pages. The extension only accesses the current browser tab when you deliberately invoke an Alvargo shipping workflow.
