Alt+A Tab Switcher
Overview
Switch tabs in most-recently-used order: hold Alt and press A. The shortcut can be changed.
Jump back to the tab you were just working in. Hold Alt and press A — a list of your tabs appears, ordered by when you last used them. Each press of A moves the selection further back in history, Alt+Shift+A moves it the other way. Release Alt and the selected tab opens. A quick tap of Alt+A switches straight to the previous tab — perfect for flipping between two tabs. FEATURES - Tab history ordered by recent use, not by position in the tab strip - Tabs from all windows, or the current window only — your choice - Your own shortcut: Ctrl+Q, Alt+` or anything else that's comfortable - Works with any keyboard layout — keys are matched by position - Esc to cancel, Enter or a click on a card to switch - Light and dark theme that follows your system - English and Russian interface PRIVACY Nothing is collected or sent anywhere. The tab list exists only inside your browser while Chrome is running. LIMITATIONS On special pages (New Tab, chrome://, Chrome Web Store) Chrome doesn't allow extensions to show the list. There the shortcut switches tabs right away, and repeated presses within a second keep going back through the history.
