Overview

Catch duplicate tabs and return to the page you already have open.

AlreadyOpen! catches duplicate tabs before they pile up. When a page is already open, the extension helps you return to the existing tab or continue with another copy—it is always your choice. Key features: - Detect duplicate HTTP and HTTPS pages across open browser windows. - Compare normalized URLs while ignoring fragments and common tracking parameters. - Ask every time, automatically switch, or always allow another copy. - Exclude websites where you intentionally keep multiple tabs open. - Inspect the current page from the toolbar, jump to an existing copy, or close the other copies. - Remember your preferred behavior through Chrome extension storage. AlreadyOpen! processes tab addresses locally in Chrome. Browsing history and page content are not sent to whyThough, sold, or used for advertising. Small feature. Big quality-of-life upgrade.
