Your reading companion for Aloud Reader. Aloud Reader Companion adds tools to the Aloud Reader web app so you can explore what you read without losing your place. Its first feature is split search: select a word, a passage or a figure, choose where to look it up, and the answer opens in a resizable pane right beside the document — in the same tab. Your page, highlights and audio stay exactly where they were. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Look up a selected word or passage in the search engine you prefer. • Ask an AI assistant about it, with your selection already filled in. • Search by image: pick a figure or illustration and it is attached for you in a visual search or an AI assistant. • Resize the pane by dragging, put it on the left or right, browse inside it with back, forward and reload, or pop it out into a full tab. • Works in Incognito windows too (turn on "Allow in Incognito" for the extension). HOW TO USE 1. Open any document in Aloud Reader (aloudreader.ai). 2. Select text, or click an image. 3. Choose Search, Ask AI or Visual search — the result opens beside your page. PRIVACY No account with us, no server, no analytics, no ads. What you select goes only to the service you choose. To show those services inside the pane, the extension temporarily adjusts their embedding headers and cookie settings while a pane is open, and puts everything back when you close it.
