Allow Copy & Enable Right Click + OCR – Text Fetcher
1 rating
)Overview
Copy text from images with on-device OCR. Enable right-click, text selection & copy on sites that block them - all locally.
Works where "allow copy" tools fail: Google Docs, canvas pages and images. Most allow-copy extensions run everywhere and break the sites you use. Text Fetcher is opt-in per site, reads text straight out of images with on-device OCR, and never sends anything to a server. ▬▬▬ What you can do ▬▬▬ - Copy text from images (OCR): select any region of the screen and get clean, editable text. It works on screenshots, scans and photos, on Google Docs and Slides, and on PDFs that block copying. Over 40 languages, running entirely on your device. - Enable right-click: bring back the context menu, including Save Image As, on sites that block it. - Allow copy and text selection: highlight and copy from "protected" pages. - Beat the deep tricks: user-select locks, invisible blocking overlays, right-click and selection scripts, print-hiding CSS, Shadow DOM and iframes. - Google Sheets: one click opens a copy-friendly view of the spreadsheet. - Alt+Shift+click copies the label of any button or link. - Per-site control with separate switches for selection and right-click, plus global switches if you want it everywhere. - Keyboard shortcuts: Alt+Shift+F toggles the current site, Alt+Shift+O starts OCR. - Export and import your settings. ▬▬▬ Why Text Fetcher ▬▬▬ - It doesn't break your pages: off by default, on only where you switch it on. - It reads images: basic tools only toggle copy on and off. - It's private: no servers, no uploads, no tracking, no account, no ads. ▬▬▬ FAQ ▬▬▬ - How do I copy text from a website that blocks copying? Click the Text Fetcher icon on that site. Selection and right-click are restored instantly. - How do I enable right-click when it is disabled? Same click. The context menu comes back. - How do I copy text from an image or a Google Doc? Press Alt+Shift+O, drag over the text, and it is on your clipboard. ▬▬▬ Privacy ▬▬▬ Everything runs on your device. Text Fetcher does not collect, transmit or sell your data, and OCR never sends your images anywhere.
