)Overview
Flags foods in your cart with user-specified bad ingredients.
AllergyGuard helps you shop safer by flagging ingredients you want to avoid while shopping on Amazon, including Amazon Fresh (US/UK). How it works: 1. Add ingredients (e.g., peanuts, gluten, soy) via the extension popup. 2. On an Amazon product page, click Add to Cart or Buy Now. 3. The extension fetches and scans the ingredient list. 4. Matching ingredients are flagged and highlighted. Features: • Fast ingredient matching • Add/remove items anytime • Search & hide modes in the popup • Local synced storage (no account setup) • Works on Amazon (.com and .co.uk); more stores planned Privacy & data: • Your ingredient list is stored via Chrome’s sync storage in your browser (and may sync via your Google account). • When you click Add to Cart/Buy Now, only the product page URL is sent to our server to extract the ingredient list. • No tracking, analytics, or ads. Data is not sold or shared. Permissions explained: • storage: save your ingredient list & UI state. • host permissions: amazon.com and amazon.co.uk to run the content script; backend API domain for fetching ingredients. Disclaimer: Not medical advice. Always verify labels manually. Support: Submit feedback or issues by leaving reviews. What’s next: Instacart support and smarter matching.
