Overview

Catches scams & phishing in your Gmail, LinkedIn, WhatsApp & Facebook Messenger — check any suspicious message before you trust it.

Most scams don't look like scams. They look like a job offer, a delivery notice, a message from your bank, or a friend who says they lost their phone. Hunch reads the message with you and points out what's worth a second look — the sender that doesn't match the real company, the brand-new web address, the request for a code or a payment. Then you decide. Hunch advises; you stay in control. It works right where you already read your messages: Gmail, LinkedIn, WhatsApp Web, and Messenger. You can also paste any text into the checker at askhunch.app, or forward a message to the Hunch bot on Telegram. If you're job hunting Fake recruiters are one of the most common scams today. A "hiring manager" reaches out, the offer sounds great, and then comes the ask — a fee, your ID, a move to a chat app. Hunch flags the signs of a fake recruiter and job scam before you send your CV or your details. What Hunch helps you catch Fake recruiter and hiring scams — the offer that turns into a fee or an ID request Marketplace and fake-seller scams — the "buyer" or "seller" who pushes you off-platform Fake delivery and parcel-fee texts — the missed-package link that wants a small payment Bank and payment phishing — the "account suspended, verify now" message Crypto and investment scams — the guaranteed-return offer and the recovery-fee trap Account-takeover and verification-code scams — "read me the code you just got" Hunch checks the whole message, not just the link — so it can flag scams that have no link at all, like a request to share a code or call a number. Built to be honest Hunch is an advisor, not a judge. It shows you the concrete signals and lets you make the call. It won't tell you a specific person is a scammer, and it won't promise to catch everything — no tool can. What it does is help you pause and check at the moment that matters. Your privacy is built in Detection runs 100% locally, in your browser. There's no account and nothing to sign up for. The optional "Explain with AI" feature is off by default — if you turn it on, it sends at most 300 redacted characters, only when you click it. Nothing else leaves your device. How it works You get a message that feels a little off. Hunch shows you what it noticed — and why. You decide what to do, informed. Check before you trust.
