Align Browser Agent

Lets Align's assistant do web tasks in your own Chrome, with your sign-ins. Runs in a background tab you can watch or take over.

Align Browser Agent lets Align's assistant do web tasks for you in your own Chrome, using the sites you're already signed in to. Ask Align in chat ("make me a table of the top 5 tech companies from Wikipedia", "cancel my streaming subscription", "log in to LinkedIn and check my messages"). The work happens in one tab in a blue "Agent" tab group, in the background, so you stay in the chat. Click that tab at any time to watch or take over. When the task is done, Align reports back in the chat. How it works • Sign in to your Align account from the extension's popup. That's the whole setup. • In Align, choose "Extension" as where tasks run. • Ask for a task. Align opens or reuses its Agent tab and works there. Stays in your control • Align never guesses a password. Saved logins you add in Align are typed in for you, and only on the site they belong to. • It stops and asks you in the chat for one-time codes, missing details and choices it can't make on its own. • Before any purchase, subscription or payment, it stops and asks you to confirm. • It only acts on its own Agent tab, never on your other tabs. Why the permissions • debugger: drives the Agent tab (clicks, typing, reading the page) the same way Chrome's own automation tools do. Chrome shows a "started debugging this browser" bar while a task runs. • tabs, tabGroups: opens the Agent tab in the background and keeps it in its "Agent" group. • storage, alarms: remembers your Align sign-in and keeps the connection to Align alive. • Access to all sites: tasks can be on any website you ask about. You need an Align account (alignagent.app) to use this extension.
