Overview
Browser extension for Alice — generate email aliases without leaving the sign-up form
Alice gives every service its own email address, so a leak tells you exactly who sold you out. This extension is a client for Alice, a self-hosted email alias manager that runs on your own Stalwart mail server. You need your own instance — there is no hosted service, no account to create here, and nothing is sent anywhere but to the server you run. WHAT IT DOES • A button in the email field — one click creates an alias and types it in • Or right-click any field and choose "Generate an Alice alias" • From the toolbar — generate, copy, or fill the form in front of you • Every alias is tagged with the site it was created on, so a leak points at whoever received it • Manage your aliases from the popup: see the ones this site already has, disable or delete any of them, search the whole list SIGNING IN Open the popup, enter the address of your Alice instance, and approve the extension in Alice itself. It receives its own client key and never sees your password. Revoke that key from Alice at any time to cut this browser off. If you prefer, you can paste a client key by hand instead. PRIVACY The extension talks to one server: yours. It has no analytics, no telemetry, and no third-party requests of any kind. Access to the sites you visit is optional and off by default. It is requested only if you turn on the button inside email fields, which has to be there before you need it. Turning that option off unregisters the script and gives the permission back. Everything else runs only after you click the extension or its menu entry. Free software, MIT licensed: https://git.aktech.fr/alice/extension
