Streamline patient consults: pull patient data from your EMR into i-scribe, then insert generated outputs back.

The Akuru Browser Extension is a productivity layer for clinicians who use i-scribe alongside their Electronic Medical Record. It removes the manual copy-and-paste steps between the EMR and i-scribe so you can spend more time with the patient and less time wrangling browser tabs. What the extension does - One-click patient pull. Click "New Patient" on the toolbar and the extension reads the patient details from the EMR you have open and loads them into i-scribe — name, date of birth, contact details, and any clinical background that is on screen. - Inline recording controls. Start, pause, and resume recording in i-scribe directly from the toolbar that overlays your EMR. The toolbar shows a clear timer and recording state, so you always know where you are in the consult. - Send outputs to the EMR. After i-scribe generates your consultation notes, letters, or summaries, click "Insert Outputs" on the toolbar (or "Send to EMR" inside i-scribe) and the selected output is dropped straight into the field you last clicked in the EMR. - Sync upcoming appointments. Click "Sync i-consult" to pull your upcoming appointments from the EMR into Akuru's i-consult booking system. You choose the date range. Past appointments and patients without valid mobile numbers are filtered automatically. - In-product help. The toolbar includes a Help button with workflow instructions and a "What's new" panel so you always know what's changed. Designed for busy clinicians This extension was built with the input of practising doctors who use it dozens of times per day. State is glanceable. Buttons are clearly labelled. Tooltips explain every action. Patient mismatch warnings prevent wrong-patient operations. Privacy and data handling The extension does not send patient data to any Akuru server beyond what your existing i-scribe session already does. All processing performed by the extension itself happens locally in your browser. There is no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking.
