PortMem
Overview
Check selected text against your documents in PortMem, or find where your documents discuss it.
PortMem checks documents written with AI against the source documents they rely on, and records who approved them. With this extension, PortMem opens in a side panel next to the page you are on. Click the PortMem button in the toolbar to open it, or select text on any web page, such as an answer from an AI assistant, an email or a page in your company's tools, and right-click: • Check with PortMem puts the text in the PortMem side panel. Choose the documents to check it against, or choose none and PortMem picks the ones the text relies on from your library and names them in the result. PortMem flags the statements your documents contradict or do not support, and what the text leaves out. Click a flag to select its words on the page. • Find in my PortMem documents shows, in the side panel, where your documents discuss it. You need a PortMem account (portmem.com). The extension reads a page only when you hand it over, and only the text you selected. The text reaches your PortMem account only when you press Check in the side panel or choose Find; until then it stays in your browser's memory.
