Overview

Full website check: broken links, meta data, headings, image alt text, structured data, accessibility (WCAG 2.2) and speed.

Site Check gives any website a full health check from your browser. Check the page you are on, or crawl the whole site, and get one plain-English report of what is wrong and where. WHAT IT CHECKS • Broken links and images, on the site and (optionally) links to other websites • Page titles and meta descriptions: missing, duplicated, too long or too short • Headings: missing or multiple H1s and skipped levels • Images without alt text • Structured data (JSON-LD) and social sharing tags • Accessibility against WCAG 2.2 A and AA, using the open-source axe-core engine • Speed on mobile and desktop, from Google PageSpeed • robots.txt, sitemap coverage and pages nothing links to . AI search readiness: whether ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google's AI crawlers can reach and read the site HOW IT WORKS • Click the icon and choose "Check this page" or "Check the whole site". • The report opens in a new tab. The first time on each site, Chrome asks you to allow access to that site. • Whole-site checks keep running while you use other tabs. • When you have fixed things, "Re-check issues" tests only the pages that had problems and shows what is fixed, what is still to do and what is new. • Export to CSV or print to PDF. BUILT TO BE SAFE ON LIVE SITES • Never follows basket, checkout, login or other action links, so it is safe on shops. • Paces its requests and backs off when a server asks it to. • Only calls a link broken when it definitely is. Sites that refuse automated checks are listed separately as "could not be verified". PRIVACY • The check runs in your own browser. Reports are stored on your computer, not on our servers. • No account, no tracking, no analytics. • Speed tests send the address of the page being tested to Technophobia's speed service and to Google PageSpeed. Nothing else leaves your browser. • Full details: https://technophobia.uk/privacy-policy/ ABOUT TECHNOPHOBIA Site Check is made by Technophobia Ltd, a UK web design and software company based in Millom, Cumbria.
