The Healthus.ai NMC Compliance Checker scans the visible text of a web page and highlights, in red, wording that may breach the National Medical Commission's Guidelines on Ethical Advertising and Public Communication for doctors, hospitals and medical institutions in India (EMRB public notice dated 6 October 2026), read with the IMC (Professional Conduct, Etiquette and Ethics) Regulations, 2002. It is built for doctors, clinic and hospital marketing teams, healthcare agencies, web developers and content writers who need to review websites, landing pages, blogs and online profiles before they go live, or audit pages that are already published. HOW IT WORKS 1. Open any web page. 2. Click the Healthus.ai icon in your toolbar, or press Alt+Shift+N. 3. Flagged phrases are highlighted in red directly on the page, and a side panel lists every finding. 4. Click the icon again, or close the panel, to remove all highlights. WHAT IT FLAGS • Superiority and ranking claims: "best", "top", "No.1", "leading", "most trusted", "unmatched", "India's first", "better than" • Guaranteed or exaggerated outcomes: "guaranteed", "100%", "permanent cure", "miracle", "painless", "no side effects", "risk-free" • Success rates and patient-volume claims: "98% success", "success rate", "10,000+ happy patients", "500 surgeries" • Testimonials, reviews and before/after content: "testimonials", "what our patients say", star ratings, "rated 4.9", "before & after" • Discounts and inducements: "discount", "20% off", festive offers, "free consultation", "cashback", "refer a friend" • Solicitation and urgency: "hurry", "act now", "limited slots", "don't wait" • Self-glorifying descriptions: "renowned", "pioneer", "award-winning", "state-of-the-art", "trusted by" • Claims about curing conditions that need evidence or context TWO LEVELS OF FLAG • Solid red underline: wording the guidelines explicitly name or prohibit. • Lighter red, dashed underline: wording that needs a human look in context. THE RESULTS PANEL • Findings are grouped by category, each with the relevant guideline clause and a plain-English explanation. • Click any finding to jump straight to it on the page, or step through them with Prev and Next. • Text inside collapsed menus, tabs and accordions is still checked and labelled "hidden on page". • Re-scan picks up content that loads later. • Copy turns all findings into a text report you can share with your team or client. • A count of findings appears on the toolbar icon. • Works in light and dark mode. CHECKS ONLY WHAT VISITORS CAN READ The checker reads page text only. It never inspects class names, IDs, attributes, alt text, URLs, scripts or styles, so a page section coded as "top-banner" or "best-doctors" is never flagged. Only words a visitor can actually see are checked. It also avoids common false alarms such as "back to top", "best regards", "leading cause" and "no cure for", and it catches phrases split across formatting, such as a bolded "Best" followed by "doctor". PRIVACY • No data is collected, stored or sent anywhere. All checking happens inside your browser. • The extension uses only the activeTab and scripting permissions. It cannot see a page until you click the icon on that page. • No account, sign-up or internet connection to an external server is needed. LIMITATIONS • Text inside images, videos, PDFs and embedded frames is not checked. • Context matters. A word like "best" can be acceptable in neutral educational content, and some claims are permitted when they are objectively verifiable, for example an award with the awarding organisation, date and methodology disclosed.
