AiXSafe File Guard helps protect personal and confidential information by automatically masking sensitive numeric values in files before they are attached to ChatGPT conversations. HOW IT WORKS 1. Configure your protected numbers or numeric identifiers in extension settings. 2. When you attach a file to ChatGPT, the extension scans the content locally on your device. 3. If matching numbers are detected, they are automatically masked before the file is handed to the chat. 4. For documents and scanned files, a built-in preview lets you review changes and verify the output before sharing. LOCAL PRIVACY GUARANTEE • All scanning and masking run locally in your browser memory. • Files, text, and configured numbers are never sent to external servers or third parties. • No account registration or external service is required. • Local scan statistics can be inspected, paused, or reset at any time. IMPORTANT LIMITATIONS • The extension masks configured numeric values that you specify; it does not automatically detect all forms of personal data. • OCR and text recognition may miss handwritten, low-resolution, or obscured text.
