Tree Style Tabs

)Overview
Vertical, hierarchical tab tree in the side panel, like Firefox's Tree Style Tab.
Tree Style Tabs puts your open tabs in a vertical, hierarchical tree in Chrome's side panel, in the spirit of Firefox's Tree Style Tab. Pages you open from a page nest under it, so a research session reads like a tree instead of a long row of tiny tabs. FEATURES • Nested tabs: links you open from a page appear as its children, newest first. Tabs opened from outside Chrome, the new tab page and chrome:// pages stay at the top level. • Collapse and expand any branch. A collapsed branch shows how many tabs it hides, and a dot when your current tab is inside it. • Drag and drop to reorder, nest or un-nest tabs, with their children. • Multi-select with Cmd/Ctrl-click and Shift-click, then close, group, pin, reload or copy the URLs of all of them (Cmd/Ctrl+W closes the selection, Cmd/Ctrl+R reloads it, Cmd/Ctrl+C copies one URL per line). • Move tabs between windows: drag them out of the panel to open a new window, drag them onto another window's panel, or use "Move to window" in the right-click menu. The tree structure travels with them. • Split view: tabs in a Chrome split view appear side by side on one row, as two cards. Select two tabs and choose "Open in split view" from the right-click menu, open a new tab beside one, or separate a pair again. • Chrome tab groups, shown as a colored label with an unbroken color bar along their tabs. Rename, recolor, ungroup and close from the right-click menu. • Right-click menu for tabs and groups. • Your tree is kept across Chrome restarts, and reopening a closed tab puts it back in its place. • Search your tabs by title or URL. The search row stays out of the way until you scroll up past the top (or press / or Cmd/Ctrl+F). • Light, dark or follow Chrome. Change it in the extension's options. PRIVACY Everything stays on your computer. The extension has no servers, makes no network requests, and does not read the contents of any web page. It only uses the list of your open tabs. HOW TO USE Click the toolbar icon to open the side panel, or press Alt+Shift+T (change it at chrome://extensions/shortcuts). Chrome does not allow extensions to open the side panel on their own at startup, so open it once per window. Note: Chrome does not let extensions hide the horizontal tab strip, so it stays visible next to the side panel. WHAT'S NEW IN 1.6.0 • Split view support. Tabs in a Chrome split view now show side by side, as two cards, just as in Chrome's own tab strip. Create one by selecting two tabs and choosing "Open in split view" in the right-click menu, open a new tab beside a tab in a split view, or separate a pair again. • A new look for the New Tab button: a wide, rounded button with a centered plus, with a little more space above it. • Split view tabs line up with the rows above and below them. • Creating and separating split views needs Chrome 155 or later. Earlier versions still show them.
