No AIGauge account or email is required. For Codex, a short-lived access token and the selected account identifier are used only inside chatgpt.com to request that account's usage. They are never passed from the in-page function to the extension's service worker or UI, stored, logged, or sent to AIGauge's servers. Usage history stored on your device contains only the timestamp, the kind of limit, and the percentage used. Conversation content is never read.
