Its single purpose is to connect AIDEN to a Chrome tab selected by the user so an AIDEN agent can complete browser tasks requested by that user. After the user clicks “Connect browser extension” in AIDEN, the extension can: - List, open, and select Chrome tabs as task targets. - Inspect the selected page’s URL, title, DOM, and layout. - Capture screenshots of the selected page. - Navigate and perform requested clicks, typing, scrolling, and other browser interactions. - Provide an element picker and return task results to the connected AIDEN session. Chrome DevTools Protocol access is attached only to the selected target tab and is released when the target is released or closed. Page data and task results are sent to the connected AIDEN Browser Use session to complete the task requested by the user. AIDEN and an active AIDEN Browser Use session are required. This extension is not intended to operate as a standalone browser tool.
