Unhook for Instagram hides distracting navigation buttons and opens the chronological following feed.

Unhook for Instagram cuts the parts of Instagram that pull you into endless scrolling, so you can see people you actually follow. Turn features on or off from the popup. Changes apply on instagram.com and sync across your Chrome profile. What you can do: • Following only — open the chronological Following feed on the home route instead of For You • Hide Reels Tab — remove the Reels button from the navigation bar • Hide Explore Tab — remove the Explore button from the navigation bar • Hide Floating Messages — hide the bottom-right Messages bubble (the sidebar Messages button stays) • Hide Suggested Accounts — hide the right-side “Suggested for you” section and leave the account switcher visible The extension only runs on Instagram. It stores your toggle preferences in Chrome sync storage. It does not read your messages or posts, and it does not send data to the developer. Notes • Hiding Reels or Explore only removes the nav buttons. Those pages still open if you go to them directly. • Following only applies to the home route.
