Overview

Read Cursor, Codex, Claude, and optionally Devin usage pages and show metrics in the extension popup.

AI Usage Monitor is a privacy-first Chrome extension for developers and AI power users who use multiple AI coding tools. It lets you check Cursor, Codex, Claude, and optional Devin usage from one compact Chrome toolbar popup — without sending your usage data to any external server. Instead of opening each provider’s usage page manually, you can quickly review your latest usage snapshot in one place. Supported providers: • Cursor • Codex • Claude • Devin, optional Key features: • Compact Chrome toolbar popup • Manual refresh • Optional automatic refresh • Pause / resume background updates • Choose which providers appear in the popup • Drag-and-drop provider ordering • Refresh interval setting from 1 to 120 minutes • Quick presets for refresh intervals • Provider icons and accent bars for easier recognition • Display language setting for the popup and options UI Privacy-first by design: • Usage data stays only in your browser • No external server • No ads • No third-party analytics • Only supported official usage pages are read • No page overlays or content modification Why permissions are needed: • tabs: to open or reload supported official usage pages • scripting: to read usage text already displayed on supported usage pages • storage: to save settings and latest usage snapshots locally in Chrome • alarms: to run optional automatic refresh • host permissions: limited to supported provider usage pages How it works: After installation, the extension opens or reloads the official usage pages for enabled services and reads the usage information shown on those pages. If a target tab is already open, the extension may reload that tab to refresh the data. Tabs are not closed after collection. The extension does not inject ads, toasts, or on-page overlays. It only reads usage text already shown on supported official pages and displays the latest snapshot in the toolbar popup. Optional Devin support: Devin is off by default. To enable it, open Options, enter your Devin organization slug, and save. Supported official usage pages: • cursor.com usage / spending pages • chatgpt.com Codex usage analytics pages • claude.ai usage settings pages • app.devin.ai organization usage settings pages, when Devin is enabled Notes: You must be signed in to each service’s official usage page. If you are not logged in, or if the page does not render correctly, metrics may not be collected. If a service changes its page layout or wording, parsing may stop working until the extension is updated.
