AI Typography Cleaner removes the typographic symbols that give AI-generated text away and replaces them with the characters people actually type on a keyboard. Copy a reply from ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini and the text that lands in your clipboard is already clean. No extra clicks. WHAT IT FIXES - Curly quotes and angle quotes (including Russian guillemets) become plain " and ' - Em and en dashes become a simple hyphen (the style is configurable) - The ellipsis character becomes three dots - Non-breaking and other special spaces become regular spaces - Invisible characters (zero-width spaces, soft hyphens and similar) are removed - Minus signs, arrows and bullet characters become their plain keyboard equivalents Code blocks, inline code, URLs and emoji are left untouched. Hebrew punctuation is preserved. HOW YOU CAN USE IT - Automatic: copy text on a supported site and get the cleaned version. A small notification shows how many symbols were replaced and what kind. - Right-click menu: "Clean selection" and "Paste cleaned" work on any page. - Popup: paste text, get the cleaned version, copy it back. YOU STAY IN CONTROL - Turn each group of rules on or off separately - Choose how dashes are replaced - Edit the list of sites where automatic cleaning is active (by default: chatgpt.com, claude.ai, gemini.google.com) - Turn the notification and its breakdown on or off - Available in English and Russian PRIVATE BY DESIGN All processing happens locally in your browser. The extension does not collect, store or send your text anywhere. GOOD TO KNOW This tool cleans up typography, nothing more. It does not rewrite text, and it will not make AI writing undetectable. Its job is to give you clean plain text that pastes properly into code editors, terminals, CMS fields, forms and messengers, where smart quotes and odd spaces tend to cause trouble.
