Overview
Export Google AI Studio chats or your whole library, with the real attachments. Nine formats. MIT licensed, paid features too.
Export any Google AI Studio conversation, or your entire library, complete with attachments, reasoning, model settings and timestamps. Fully open source at: https://github.com/Sukarth/AI-studio-exporter. WHAT YOU GET - Whole conversations, not just what is on screen. No loading gaps or messages dropped from a long chat. - Real attachments. Files are fetched from Google Drive at full quality rather so a PDF in your export is the PDF, not a picture of its first page. Google Docs, Sheets and Slides are converted on the way out. You choose which types are downloaded at all. - Model reasoning. Kept separate from the answer, so you can export either without the other, or drop it entirely. And... everything else the API knows: model, temperature, top-P, top-K, output limit, system instructions, per-message timestamps and token counts. Each one can be enabled or disabled from appearing in the export. FORMATS Three formats are free: Markdown for reading later in any editor, JSON for scripts and pipelines, and plain text for pasting where markup breaks. Pro adds six more. HTML gives you one self-contained page with the images inlined. PDF is for sending to someone who will just open it, and Word is for editing, comments and tracked changes. The Obsidian format adds frontmatter, linked attachments and collapsed reasoning. CSV puts one message on each row for counting and charting, and JSONL is ready for fine-tuning and evaluation sets. PRIVACY Nothing leaves your machine. No analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, no account, and no server, because there is no backend to have one. The extension talks to two places: AI Studio and Google Drive, using the session you are already signed in with, to read the conversation and download its files. That is the whole list, unless you buy Pro, in which case it also contacts Polar once to activate your key and occasionally to confirm it is still valid. That request contains the key and nothing else. Polar is our merchant of record and handles billing. However, you do not have to take this on faith. Every line is on GitHub under the MIT license. PRO A one-time payment. No subscription, no account, and the code stays open. WHAT YOU GET - Whole-library export: every past conversation in your library exported to one archive, with an index, filters, and automatic splitting for large libraries - The six extra formats above - Scheduled library backups: daily, weekly or monthly, and incremental, so a routine run only fetches what changed - 5 browser activations with one key/purchase Why a paid tier in an open source project? Because the alternative is that this gets abandoned. Pro pays for the time to keep the extension working when Google changes their API, which they do. HOW IT WORKS It reads AI Studio's own API instead of scraping the page. A 200-message conversation takes about two and a half minutes of automated scrolling with other extensions. This extension exports it in under a second without anything missing, because nothing has to be scrolled into view first.
