AI Slop Blocker
Overview
Detects YouTube's AI content disclosure badge and masks AI-generated videos until you choose to watch them.
AI Slop Blocker finds YouTube's own AI content disclosure badge — the small "AI" badge YouTube shows next to a video's title when the creator (or YouTube's automatic detection) discloses the content was made with AI — and puts a grey mask over the video until you choose to watch it anyway. No machine learning, no third-party APIs, no guessing. YouTube does the detection; this extension just makes the existing disclosure impossible to miss. What it does: - Watch page & Shorts: grey mask over the player with a "Watch anyway" button, or a small corner badge instead if you prefer — your choice in the popup. - Homepage feed, sidebar, and search results: optionally dims labeled thumbnails with a non-blocking "AI" chip so you can tell before you click. - Popup shows a running weekly count of how many AI-disclosed videos you've encountered. What it doesn't do: - No content analysis, no AI/ML model, no guessing whether something "looks AI." It only acts when YouTube's own disclosure is present — misses are possible, false accusations are not. - No data collection, no analytics, no accounts. Everything is stored locally in your browser. Independent tool. Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube or Google.
