AI Shorts replaces your new tab page with a full-screen, swipeable feed of AI news — one story per screen, shorts-style. Features: - Vertical swipe/scroll feed with headline, summary, source, and image - Category filters (Research, Products, Business, Startups, Policy, ...) - Bookmark stories to read later - Resumes from your first unread story automatically, and jumps back to the latest news with one tap - Fetches articles directly from public RSS feeds and summarizes them entirely on-device using Chrome's built-in Gemini Nano model (Prompt API) — no backend, no account, no cloud AI calls, nothing leaves your device On-device AI requirements (optional path) - Chrome 148+ - ~22GB free disk space, 4GB+ VRAM GPU or 16GB+ RAM - One-time ~4GB model download Without on-device AI available, the feed still fetches raw articles but won't get new AI-written summaries until requirements are met.
