AI Ready — Web Context for AI is a local-first Chrome workspace that helps you capture useful information from webpages, organize it into editable cards, add your own notes and instructions, and send one prepared brief to the AI service you choose. Instead of copying the same material between tabs and chat windows, you can collect everything beside the page you are reading, review it, and launch it when you are ready. AI Ready does not generate answers itself. It prepares the context that you want ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, or Perplexity to receive. WHY INSTALL AI READY? AI tools can be much more useful when they receive the right background, source material, goal, and constraints. In everyday work, however, that context is often spread across articles, documentation, videos, notes, and open tabs. Manually moving it into an AI chat can be slow and inconsistent. You may forget a source, leave out an important paragraph, paste the same text twice, or send slightly different information to each AI service. Long webpages can also include navigation menus, repeated links, buttons, and other material that is not part of the content you actually want to discuss. AI Ready gives you one simple workflow: 1. Capture what matters. 2. Organize it in one workspace. 3. Add your goal and instructions. 4. Choose one or more AI destinations. 5. Send the same prepared brief. HOW IT WORKS Step 1 — Capture a selection or page Highlight the exact sentences you need, or capture the main content of an entire webpage. Step 2 — Review your workspace Each source becomes a separate card in Chrome’s side panel. Check the title, source, and content before you use it. Step 3 — Add your thinking Create a note, choose a built-in prompt, use a saved custom prompt, or write one-time instructions for the current task. Step 4 — Choose your AI Select ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Perplexity, or a combination of supported destinations. Step 5 — Launch the brief AI Ready opens the selected service and fills its input with the prepared context. If Auto Enter is enabled, it also submits the message after the input is ready. CORE FEATURE 1 — CAPTURE ONLY WHAT YOU NEED Selection capture When you only need a few sentences from a long page, select those sentences and capture them as a focused card. For example, imagine that a long market report contains two paragraphs with the statistics you need. You can collect those paragraphs without copying the entire report and deleting the rest by hand. Full-page capture When you need broader context, capture the page’s main content. AI Ready attempts to preserve useful structure such as: • Page title • Source URL • Headings • Paragraphs • Lists • Tables • Code blocks • Other readable page content Results depend on the source page. Pages that require authentication, change continuously, or use complex interactive layouts may provide incomplete content. Multi-page research Move between tabs and keep adding sources. An article, a product page, a documentation page, and your own note can all live in the same workspace while remaining separate and easy to review. Keyboard shortcuts Selection and page capture can also be started with the provided keyboard shortcuts, making repeated research faster for frequent users. CORE FEATURE 2 — CLEANER, AI-READABLE WEB CONTEXT A webpage contains more than its article or documentation. It can include headers, navigation, repeated links, controls, promotional blocks, and footer text. AI Ready uses a six-stage, browser-local processing flow to examine page structure, identify useful content, reduce surrounding noise, and format the result as readable context. In simple terms, think of a desk covered with useful documents, envelopes, advertisements, and loose notes. AI Ready helps separate the useful pages, label them with their source, and arrange them into one folder. This processing happens inside Chrome. Captured content is not sent to an AI Ready developer-operated server for cleanup. Extraction is not guaranteed to be perfect on every website. You remain in control: review and edit the cards before sending anything to an AI service. CORE FEATURE 3 — ONE ORGANIZED SIDE-PANEL WORKSPACE Captured content appears as cards in Chrome’s side panel, so the workspace can stay beside the page you are reading. Depending on the source, a card can include a title, captured text, source link, and other useful page information. CORE FEATURE 4 — ADD NOTES THAT EXPLAIN YOUR REAL GOAL A collection of source material does not always explain what matters to you. Use notes to add the context that only you know: • Background information • Important constraints • Questions you want answered • Details that should be excluded • The desired output format • Ideas to revisit later • Your current hypothesis or decision criteria Travel example: “Two adults and one child are traveling. Keep walking under two hours per day and include a rainy-day alternative.” Product comparison example: “Compare monthly pricing, state whether a free trial is available, and prioritize setup simplicity for a small team.” The note travels with the captured sources, giving the selected AI a clearer picture of your situation. CORE FEATURE 5 — BUILT-IN, CUSTOM, AND ONE-TIME INSTRUCTIONS A prompt tells an AI what kind of work to perform. Choose a built-in task prompt or create and save a prompt that matches the way you work. Possible tasks include: • Summarize key points • Compare multiple sources • Verify claims and assumptions • Extract important information • Build an action plan • Rewrite a draft • Create an outline • Identify risks and unanswered questions • Prepare a deeper research direction Additional instructions let you define conditions for the current launch without changing your reusable prompt. Examples: “Explain this for someone who is new to the subject.” “Show similarities and differences in a table.” “Do not guess when the source does not contain an answer.” “Start with the conclusion, then give three supporting reasons.” “Separate facts found in the sources from your interpretation.” “Identify what should be verified before making a decision.” Think of the saved prompt as your reusable working method and additional instructions as the special requirements for today’s task. CORE FEATURE 6 — SEND ONE BRIEF TO MULTIPLE AI SERVICES Supported launch destinations: • ChatGPT • Claude • Gemini • Grok • Perplexity Choose one destination or select several. Sending the same research manually to multiple services can introduce small differences. One message may be missing a source, another may contain an older note, and a third may include duplicated text. AI Ready prepares the same selected workspace for each launch, making it easier to compare answers from a more consistent starting point. Comparing several answers is not about choosing the most confident response. It can help you find: • Facts that appear consistently • Conditions one answer missed • Different interpretations of the same evidence • Claims that need source verification • Risks or questions that only one service noticed • Better follow-up questions Each destination is operated by a separate third party. AI Ready is independently developed and is not an official product of, affiliated with, or endorsed by any supported AI provider. Your access, account status, model availability, free or paid usage limits, terms, and privacy policy for each service still apply. AUTO ENTER: REVIEW FIRST OR SEND AUTOMATICALLY Auto Enter OFF AI Ready fills the prepared brief into the destination’s input field but does not submit it. This is useful when you want to: • Review the complete message • Remove sensitive information • Add a final sentence • Change the wording • Choose a model or mode first • Submit the message yourself For first-time use or important material, starting with Auto Enter off is recommended. Auto Enter ON When you explicitly select Launch AI, AI Ready waits for the destination input to be ready, inserts the brief, and submits it. This is useful when sending the same prepared question to several supported services. Auto Enter only operates when you enable it and choose to launch. It does not independently send messages without your action. Third-party AI websites can change their interfaces. If an input field or submit flow changes, automated filling or submission may be temporarily affected. REAL-WORLD EXAMPLE 1 — COMPARE SEVERAL ARTICLES Goal: Compare three articles about the renewable energy market. Workflow: 1. Capture the market-size section from the first article. 2. Capture the technology outlook from the second article. 3. Capture policy risks from the third article. 4. Add a note: “Keep each source’s year and measurement basis separate.” 5. Choose a comparison or research prompt. 6. Add: “Organize the result into agreements, differences, and claims that need verification.” 7. Launch the brief to one or more AI services. Capture pricing details and important restrictions. 3. Add: “Our users are small teams and setup must be simple.” 4. Choose a comparison prompt. 5. Add: “Separate confirmed page facts from interpretation.” 6. Launch the same brief to several AI services. 7. Compare the responses and verify important facts on the original pages. Why this helps: The answers begin with the same source material and decision criteria, making differences easier to examine. TIPS FOR BETTER RESULTS Explain the purpose, audience, and desired format instead of asking only for a summary. Useful instructions include: • “Write this for a teammate who is new to the subject.” • “Compare the sources in a table.” • “Separate source-supported facts from interpretation.” • “Do not guess when the supplied material does not contain an answer.” • “When sources conflict, show each value’s date and scope.” • “Start with a one-sentence conclusion, then explain the evidence.” Remove cards that do not help with the current question. More text is not always better context. Treat the first AI answer as a starting point. Check what is missing, return to the original sources, collect more evidence if needed, and ask a more focused follow-up question. ESTIMATED TOKEN AND CONTEXT METRICS The workspace can display an estimate of the prepared brief’s token size and the amount reduced during context cleanup. These values are provided as a reference before launch. Actual token calculations differ between AI providers and models. Displayed estimates do not guarantee actual usage or cost savings. The goal is not simply to make text shorter. It is to preserve useful titles, sources, page structure, captured evidence, and user instructions in a readable order. COPY AND MARKDOWN DOWNLOAD Your prepared workspace is not limited to AI launch. Copy it or download it as a Markdown file for reuse in: • Personal notes • Research records • Project documentation • Meeting preparation • Writing outlines • Future AI questions • Other compatible tools Markdown is a portable, text-based format that can be opened and edited in many note and document applications. LOCAL-FIRST DATA HANDLING Page processing, text cleanup, card organization, workspace management, and local preference storage happen inside Chrome. No separate AI Ready account is required for the core workflow. Captured content is not sent to an AI Ready developer-operated server. Information that may be stored in Chrome’s local extension storage includes: • Website content and page information you choose to capture • Notes, prompts, and additional instructions you create • Workspace cards and local state • Preferences • Recent recovery information • Local usage counters and token estimates Use the workspace delete and clear controls to remove local content. Captured content is not automatically sent to an AI provider before you choose Launch AI. When you launch, the prepared brief is inserted into the third-party service you selected. If Auto Enter is enabled, it is also submitted. From that point, the selected provider processes the content under its own terms and privacy policy. AI Ready is not designed to collect passwords, authentication cookies, payment information, or form credentials. Even so, do not capture or send personal information, confidential company material, health or financial records, passwords, secret keys, or anything you do not want the selected AI provider to process. IMPORTANT LIMITATIONS • AI Ready prepares context; it does not generate the final AI answer. • It does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or freshness of an AI response. • You are responsible for accounts and usage limits on third-party services. • It does not provide paid AI features for free. • It does not bypass authentication, paywalls, access controls, or website security. • Capture results vary with page structure and available content. • Automated filling and Auto Enter may be affected when destination websites change. • Review captured content before sending it. • Verify important claims with original and authoritative sources. Medical, legal, financial, tax, regulatory, academic, and other high-impact information should be checked carefully. A fluent or confident AI response can still be wrong. You are also responsible for respecting copyright, website terms, and your organization’s information-security policies. Good AI work often starts before the question is sent.
