AI Reading Assistant helps you understand English text while browsing without interrupting your reading. Select a word, sentence, or paragraph on a supported webpage. A compact tooltip appears beside your selection with a Chinese translation and relevant language information. FEATURES • Word lookup View phonetic transcription, pronunciation, parts of speech, common definitions, and example sentences. • Base-word meanings Inflected forms such as past-tense verbs, participles, and plurals are connected to their original words so you can understand their common meanings. • Sentence and paragraph translation Select longer text to view a Chinese translation directly on the current page. • Optional AI explanation When additional context is needed, choose Explain with Claude or Explain with ChatGPT. The selected text opens in the chosen service using your existing account. No API key is required. • Today’s Words Words you look up are saved locally in your browser for later review. You can view and remove them from the extension popup. • Simple reading experience The tooltip appears beside selected text and closes when you click elsewhere or press Esc. PRIVACY Words saved in Today’s Words remain in your browser’s local storage. To provide translations and definitions, selected text may be transmitted to the translation and dictionary providers used by the extension.
