AI Job Hunter — Job Importer Save the job posting you're viewing straight into your local AI Job Hunter desktop app. One click, no copy-pasting URLs or details by hand. Now it also scores your fit, helps with application questions, and can fill the boring contact fields for you. WHAT IT DOES • Click the toolbar button on any job posting to import it into AI Job Hunter. • The job is saved to your applications list, tagged "New", with its title and company already filled in. • Two modes: import by URL (the app fetches and parses the posting), or Scan mode (sends the page you're viewing when the posting needs a sign-in to see). • Check your fit: see a percent match between the posting and your résumé, right in the popup. • Already imported? The popup tells you (including when you applied), the button becomes "Re-import / update", and a "Mark as applied" button moves a saved job forward. ANSWER TOOLS • Save the answers you type into application forms, so you never write "Why do you want to work here?" from scratch twice. • When a form asks something you've answered before, get your past answer suggested back. • Draft a new answer with your configured AI provider, streamed live into the popup, with a rewrite option when the tone is off. • If a form asks for salary expectations, the popup can offer the number you saved in the app. ASSISTED AUTOFILL (opt-in, off by default) • Enable it in the desktop app, then "Fill this form" fills empty name, email, phone, and profile-link fields from your saved contact profile and shows exactly what it filled. • It never submits a form for you, and your profile is never stored in the browser. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • The extension talks ONLY to the AI Job Hunter app running on your own computer, over native messaging or a private loopback connection (127.0.0.1). Nothing is sent to us or any third-party server. • No tracking, no analytics, no account. • It reads a page's content only when you click the button (active tab), never in the background. • Pairing uses a mutual cryptographic handshake: the pairing token never crosses the connection, not even to the app itself. PAIR ONCE • On first use, paste the pairing token shown in the desktop app. After that, everything is a single click. REQUIREMENTS • You must have the AI Job Hunter desktop app installed and running. This extension is a companion to that app and does nothing on its own. PERMISSIONS (why each is needed) • activeTab + scripting: read the job posting or form on the tab you clicked, only when you click. • storage: remember your pairing token. • nativeMessaging: talk to the desktop app through the browser's native messaging channel (the primary transport). • Loopback host (127.0.0.1): connect to the desktop app on your machine when native messaging isn't available.
